Listing Standards

Last updated 11th July 2026

1. Purpose

The Bidrit Vehicle Listing Standards establish the minimum requirements for all vehicle listings published on the Bidrit Platform.

These standards are designed to promote transparency, improve buyer confidence, and ensure that every listing meets Bidrit’s commitment to honesty and accountability.

Every seller must comply with these standards before a listing can be published.

2. Listing Principles

Every listing published on Bidrit must be:

  • Accurate
  • Complete
  • Honest
  • Current
  • Verifiable

No listing should intentionally mislead a buyer.

3. Required Vehicle Information

Every listing must include, at a minimum:

Vehicle Identity

  • Manufacturer
  • Model
  • Model Year
  • Trim/Variant
  • Body Type
  • Exterior Colour
  • Interior Colour

Vehicle Details

  • Mileage
  • Transmission
  • Fuel Type
  • Engine Size (where applicable)
  • Drive Type (where applicable)
  • VIN/Chassis Number (full or partially masked for security)
  • Registration Status

Ownership Information

  • Country of Origin
  • Imported or Locally Used
  • Number of Previous Owners (where known)
  • Ownership Documents Available (Yes/No)

4. Vehicle Condition

Sellers must honestly disclose the known condition of the vehicle. This includes, where applicable:

  • Mechanical issues
  • Electrical issues
  • Accident history
  • Flood damage
  • Fire damage
  • Structural repairs
  • Paintwork
  • Dashboard warning lights
  • Missing components
  • Non-functioning features

Failure to disclose known material defects is a violation of Bidrit standards.

5. Vehicle Photography Standards

Every listing must contain high-quality photographs of the actual vehicle. Minimum required photographs:

  • Front View
  • Rear View
  • Left Side
  • Right Side
  • Interior Front
  • Interior Rear
  • Dashboard
  • Odometer
  • Engine Bay
  • Wheels
  • Boot/Trunk
  • Vehicle Identification Plate (where appropriate)

Photos must:

  • Be recent.
  • Clearly represent the vehicle.
  • Not be heavily edited.
  • Not include misleading filters.
  • Not use stock or borrowed images.

6. Pricing Standards

Every advertised price must represent the seller’s genuine asking price. Sellers must not:

  • Advertise unrealistic prices solely to attract enquiries.
  • Hide mandatory charges.
  • Misrepresent financing terms.
  • Display misleading promotional pricing.

Any applicable fees should be clearly disclosed before a transaction proceeds.

7. Listing Accuracy

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that all listing information remains accurate. Listings must be updated promptly if:

  • The vehicle is sold.
  • The price changes.
  • Vehicle information changes.
  • The listing is no longer available.

8. Prohibited Listings

The following may not be listed on Bidrit:

  • Stolen vehicles
  • Vehicles with forged documentation
  • Vehicles without legal authority to sell
  • Duplicate listings
  • Misleading advertisements
  • Fake listings
  • Vehicles prohibited by law

Bidrit may remove such listings without notice.

9. Listing Review

Bidrit reserves the right to review any listing before or after publication. Where a listing fails to meet Bidrit standards, Bidrit may:

  • Request corrections.
  • Reject publication.
  • Remove the listing.
  • Request supporting documentation.
  • Initiate a compliance review.

10. Enforcement

Failure to comply with these standards may result in:

  • Listing removal
  • Warning
  • Trust Index reduction
  • Verification review
  • Account suspension
  • Permanent removal from the Platform

Enforcement will be proportionate to the seriousness and frequency of the violation.

Product Principle

"Every Bidrit listing should answer the buyer’s first question: “Do I have enough truthful information to make an informed decision?”"

If the answer is no, the listing does not meet Bidrit standards.
